Irchester at War has now been republished. and is now available at £4.95 + p&p

This booklet is the first attempt at historical research by the IPHS. With the 50th Anniversary of the end of the second world War, We felt that it was appropriate to record the memories and experiences of people who lived in the Parish during these years. We have attempted to transcribe our sound recordings in the local dialect and retain the submitted written works as our story tellers intended.

We would like to thank the many people who shared their personal recollections of evens and wartime experiences with us and without whom this booklet would not have been possible.
