60th Anniversary of Irchester Bombing More than 50 people gathered in St. Katharine’s church yard after morning service in memory of the Nine people who lost their lives during the bombing raid on Irchester, an Atlas Cedar tree (donated by the Irchester Parish Historical Society) was planted by Shirley Jackson (Smith). Sadly Shirley lost her brother, Ronald and sister, Joan in the early hours of that morning raid.
